As well as reindeer meatballs, The Jolly Sailor pub in Canterbury is now making the news for its epic Mannequin Challenge.
A Canterbury pub which hit the headlines with its reindeer balls Christmas dish has joined in the Mannequin Challenge social media craze.
The Jolly Sailor in Northgate teamed up with the Wild Food catering company and have since been featured in the Daily Mail, Kent Online and the Metro after announcing that their Christmas menu included Reindeer meatballs.
Now they’ve produced a Mannequin Challenge video including eight of the biggest sports teams and societies from Christ Church University.
Wild Food general manager, Will Bettles, loved the attention, he said: “The media attention has been really good for us, it has seen an increase in our social media activity and generally just spread the word about us. It’s great, especially as we have only recently moved into our new permanent home of The Jolly Sailor.”

Pub landlord, Ian Blackmore, said: “At the Jolly Sailor, our crew and shipmates always have their fingers on the pulse of what is current, so with the Mannequin Challenge spreading, we thought it would be a lot of fun to do one at the pub with our many Christ Church sports teams. Everyone had a lot fun!”
