Campus Fashion: Girls’ night out

Welcome back to another week of Campus Fashion, this one is for the girls – let’s look into the world of girls’ night out!

There are no real “trends” to focus on when it comes to going “out-out” as we tend to wear what we feel comfortable in. So there’s always an array of styles to be seen at bars and clubs, which is great for picking up new ideas for outfits to recreate yourself. Hopefully, you’ll find some inspiration from the outfits as they all look fierce, but manage to do so on a student budget.

The all-black outfit

First up is this gorgeous all-black-everything outfit, it’s great because it’s sassy and super slimming. She’s broken this up by going for a bodysuit which features stunning, floral embroidery around the neckline, which is so on-trend by the way.

All you need to do is go into New Look or Primark to see how big embroidery is right now. Her bodysuit is from Boohoo, and her jeans are from New Look which both accept student discount, so she managed to look super-hot for a bargain price. 10 style points to her!

Tips to take from this outfit:

You can 100% wear all-black-everything, but balance it out, break it up with a small splash of colour, maybe with a bag or your shoes. Also, while wearing the same colour jeans and bodysuit, wear a belt to cinch you in at the waist. This is super flattering and it keeps your jeans where they’re meant to be despite all that dancing you’re doing!

Boho chic

Next up is this classy outfit which I absolutely love because of its boho vibes. She’s teamed up a bardot, frilly bodysuit with printed culottes and a choker, which really flatters her petite frame and hugs her figure in all the right places. The simplicity of the outfit allows the printed trousers to be the star of the show, which is always a good idea when wearing bold patterns. The simple band choker compliments her strappy shoes perfectly, and the belt just helps to top this all off!

Another focus in this ensemble is her hair. When aiming for a particular style like boho, it’s important to make sure that your hair corresponds with this style. Her messy bun and loose waves compliment her boho look perfectly, and her simple make-up lets her outfit take centre-stage.

Tips to take from this outfit:

Don’t be afraid to wear bold prints! They can make such a statement if worn correctly, so don’t avoid them simply because you’re nervous you won’t pull them off. The key with bold prints is to make the rest of the outfit super simple, I’m talking one other colour and minimal shaping, as well as simple hair and makeup. This way, the print can be the centrepiece of your outfit, and you’ll have everyone else wondering why they don’t have those zebra print pants.

Wrap dresses

Last but not the least is this gorgeous dress worn by my equally gorgeous friend. Khaki is a colour you cannot go wrong with, and wrap dresses are amazingly flattering on any figure.

Head to PrettyLittleThing to find this dress in almost every colour, usually for at least 15% off with Unidays. What I love about this outfit is how she’s making sure she stays warm on the way to and from the club by wearing tights with sparkles to make them more night out appropriate. Genius! As well as this, her choker is super on trend as mentioned above, and matches her dress perfectly. She opted for straight hair, which compliments the sleek style of her dress really well.

Tips to take from this outfit:

Don’t resist from wearing tights on a night out. It’s freezing outside right now so no one is going to judge you for keeping yourself warm, especially when you’re doing so with sparkly tights!

That’s a wrap for this week’s campus fashion, girls’ night out edition. See you next week!
