Milkshake chain ‘Shakeaway’ is opening a store in Canterbury

International milkshake chain Shakeaway are set to open a brand new store in Canterbury.

The self proclaimed ‘world’s greatest milkshake bar’, which originated in 1999 with it’s first store opening in Bournemouth, will be offering creamy, blended goods to milkshake lovers of Canterbury later this year.

This comes after news that the Rochester branch will be closing their door and turning off their blenders for good at the end of the week.

An post appeared on the ‘Shakeaway Rochester’ Facebook page yesterday evening, announcing the bitter-sweet news.

The post read: “Unfortunately the store is due to close in order to relocate to Canterbury very soon. Therefore, as of the 28th January 2018 this store will be closed”

“We will update the Shakeaway Facebook page when the new Canterbury store opens and we hope to see you all there!

“We apologise for any inconvenience our closing may cause. Remember… Shakeaway loves you!”

Shakeaway last graced Canterbury with its dairy treats over five years ago before the store on St George’s Street closed.

But cry no more, Shakeaway will be bringing all the milkshakes to Cants.
