BBC Introducing to host three day festival

Calling all music fanatics! A three day festival will be hosted by BBC music – here’s how you can get discounted tickets.

BBC Music has announced a three-day festival – BBC Introducing LIVE 18.

The event will take place 8-10 November at London’s tobacco dock. The festival is set to welcome 15,000 budding musicians and industry talent including an intimate gig by Ben Howard.

Since BBC Introducing launched in 2007 it has been dedicated to discovering new music and supporting up and coming bands and musicians including James Bay, Slaves and The 1975.

This years event is built on the success of last years BBC Music Introducing ‘Amplify’ with a programme full of performances, talks, workshops and live concerts each evening featuring over 250 speakers from all corners of the music industry.

Danny Jones (McFly), You Me At Six and Paul Smith (Maximo Park) are all part of a stellar line up of artist speakers who will be giving visitors behind-the-scenes insights into their careers including topics such as “Getting funding for your music career”, Making it in pop music” and “Self releasing: DIY guide to getting your music out there”.

Annie Mac will be performing a DJ set during the festival











Featured zones in the festival will include an A&R listening feedback centre which will provide a one-to-one guidance on music, you’ll also find high profile artists giving advice on how to progress in the industry here.

There will also be a BBC Recording Studio Zone, where BBC engineers will demonstrate how to set up, record and mix, Independent Label Market, where you can browse a wide range of genres and record labels releases on vinyl and a careers fair, for future agents, stage managers, promoters, lawyers, developers and more.
