BUC’s weekly round-up. A tough week for C4

An unlucky week for Christ Church teams…

Women’s Basketball

Women’s Basketball beat Medway 25-67! Captain Eftychia Panayiotou said “Player of the match was Zita Mendes. Scoring 35 points.”

Women’s Football 1’s

The first team smashed Kings 2’s 5-0. Captain Kate Foster said “The team played very well and got and important clean sheet, goal scorers were Browne, Gillian, Chapman and Foster x2.”

Men’s Hockey 1’s

The first team travelled away to play Imperial (medics). They unfortunately lost 4-2 but the boys kept going right to the end. player of the match was Aaron Cathcart for being ‘solid in midfield’

They may have lost but the first team kept going right until the final whistle.

Women’s Hockey 1’s

The first team lost 3-1 to Portsmouth. Captain Alice Brett said “Man of the match was Morgan Payne and captains man of the match was Ellie Johnson for an amazing goal.”

The Women’s team lost their game this week.

Men’s Hockey 2’s

The twos also travelled away to play Imperial (medics). They played the earlier game, the boys lost 3-1. However, the team was packed with people who have only just started to play hockey this year.

Man of the match was Rhys Due for an impressive performance in midfield, controlling, passing and leading. He was very good, given he has only played for three weeks.

Netball 2’s

Netball 2s lost to Kings college 47-39. Captain Emily Sheehan said “Everyone played their socks off! My players of the match are Katie Smith and Cat Butler.”

Men’s Basketball

Men’s Basketball lost 80-66 to Surrey in the BUC’s cup to Surrey this week.

Men’s Basketball lost their fixture this week.

Men’s Cricket

Men’s cricket first team had two games this week. They lost both, but there player of the week was Stuart Dockerill.

They lost to Canterbury 1’s by 40 runs and also lost to Gravesend by two wickets.

Women’s Volleyball

Women’s Volleyball, lost this week

The ladies lost 3-1 to Roehampton on Wednesday.
