Men’s Cricket

Our 1’s beat our 2’s by 6 wickets, as well as beating Street End by 6 wickets

The 2’s and 3’s however lost the rest of their games.

Men’s Basketball

Very well done lads! Our men’s team won a close game against Kings 3’s 68-64.

Not the best week for our Hockey teams. Both our men’s and women’s lost to Surrey 3-1 and 7-1 respectively.

Our women’s 2’s however, were more successful, thrashing Kings 7-1. The team played to their strengths and a shout out must go to fresher Tia Chapman who scored a hat-trick.

Men’s Football

This week was a successful week for our football teams. Our first team beat Essex 4-1 and second team beat Medway by the same score-line.

Not such a good week for our fourth team as they lost to Imperial 4-0.

The team played outstandingly to win 12-3 against Medway 2’s.

Captain Mickey Dillon told UNIfied: “Everyone who turned up was brilliant, other than giving away 3 goals, no negatives what so ever!

After last week’s defeat, C4 Men’s Lacrosse looked to get back to winning as we faced our bitter rivals UKC 2s away at Parkwood.

After beating them 22-0 in the opening game of the season, we looked forward to end the year with a bang. The game started strongly for ourselves, with Harry H scoring his first league goal of the season in the opening minutes.

The game continued to progress well for Men’s Lax, with a fine attacking display on show, we managed to find the net at regular intervals with some great shooting on show. The game was played in a very physical and fast paced manner as both sides desperately wanting the victory.

Our Victorious Lacrosse Team

However, UKC never threatened us greatly, as their only goal came from a defensive error which left us a man down. This brief reprieve did not last long, as it wasn’t long before we were back to testing the UKC keeper at regular intervals.

The game finished 12-1 to Christ Church who finished off the year in style, still unbeaten in the league and currently 6/6 sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 4 league games to follow after Christmas.

The Player of the Match was Jake Gilbert, who capped off a fine attacking display from midfield finishing with 4 goals, the best one being an outside shot from 15 yards which flew into the top corner.

The women won a closely fought game against Essex 1’s 13-10.

Unfortunately, the Netball 1’s lost 45-36 to UCL.

Captain Olivia Miles told us:” Everyone played amazing and we only had 7 players as some of our teammates were unable to play. My player of the game was Amber Moore. She’s only a fresher but she kept going the whole game and was driving all over the place. Her shooting was amazing. Megan Galvin also played amazing and was encouraging everyone throughout the game. Her shooting was outstanding as usual.”

Our 2’s also lost, going down 49-39 to UCL. It was the same story for our 3’s unfortunately, who lost 56-34 to South Bank.

It was also an unsuccessful week for our rugby teams.

1’s Lost 17-10 and our 3’s went down 22-7 to LSE 2’s. It was the same unfortunately for our women’s team who lost 24-0 against Kings 1’s.

Good luck to all teams playing next week!
