Men’s Basketball

The boys are still undefeated in the BUCS league as they beat Hertfordshire seconds 91-76!

Men’s Lacrosse

Another big win for the boys as they beat Reading 8-3!

Captain Harvey Veasy was very happy with the discipline his team showed throughout the game, he said: “This week we were back up at the fortress Chaucer against Reading. Due to heavy rainfall in the previous days the game promised to a real battle in the mud.

“We started the game strongly storming into a 3-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. The game continued to test both sides with the pitch deteriorating rapidly, however Mens Lacrosse always had a firm grip on the game, adding to the score line at regular intervals. Even though, Reading managed to pull a couple of goals back, it was too little too late as another impressive victory was firmly on the horizon.

“During the final quarter we consolidated our control of the game by adding to our already healthy advantage, while limiting the opposition goal scoring opportunities through a solid defensive performance. Captains player of the match was Dom Bailey, a fine performance coming off the bench to assist in attack and defence. Creating some great scoring opportunities through his strong running from midfield, only a goal would of improved his performance. Final score CCCU 8- Reading 3, Goal scorers; Giorgio-5 Harvey-2 Josh-1

“This sets us up nicely for our Varsity showdown next Friday!”
