Canterbury Varsity Round Up: Day 7 – Rugby and Trampolining

By Johnny Amos and Claisse Opulencia

Day 7 of Canterbury Varsity saw some exciting action from men’s rugby and trampolining.

If you want a detailed catch up for today, check out the live blog.

Showcase Volleyball was unfortunately cancelled today.

Men’s Rugby 3’s

The boys put in a solid performance today, but unfortunately, they lost 34-0.

The game was cut short after a player from UKC took a nasty blow to the head which resulted in him having to go to hospital.

The boys fought hard for the whole game and was unlucky not to get a single point.

Captain Daniel Smith gave his views on the game.

Men’s Rugby 2’s

It wasn’t meant to be for our boys today as they were beat 39-0.

The score line was not a clear reflection of the game with C4 constantly pushing the ball into Kent’s half.

The boys played in proper Christ Church spirit and never gave up.

Captain’s message to team:

There were two pitch changes during the game due to injuries which wouldn’t didn’t help Christ Church.

Trampolining

It was a close one for Christ Church who lost by 0.90.

Kent’s average was 68, Christ Church was 67.10.

Our girls gave us stunning performances regardless.
