Student found dead on Canterbury Campus

A University of Kent student has died on a campus in Canterbury.

A male student was sadly found dead in the Keynes College area at the University of Kent, Canterbury. Emergency services were seen yesterday afternoon (March 7) and remained by the property until 11pm.

University of Kent have confirmed the death of one of their students.

A university spokesperson told Kent Live: “We can confirm the death of a student at our Canterbury campus. Kent Police attended the scene and next of kin are being informed.

“We are offering support to the student’s housemates, fellow students and staff. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with the student’s family at this difficult time.”

The police are yet to confirm the cause of death, but they are not treating it as suspicious.

Next of kin have been informed.
