Historically, the biggest night of the week at Christ Church has been known as Sports Wednesdays, with socials and final whistles taking place week in week out.
However, where has the night dedicated to the societies of the University been for all this time?
New development Sabbatical officer Becky Thomson has launched Society Takeover: This being a night at the students’ union dedicated to our wonderful societies, to play games, sing and dance and socialise all together.
With last week being the first week and it being so successful, the event will now take place every Tuesday night from 8pm until close, followed by a large group heading next door to Glitterbomb at Tokyo Tearooms afterwards to continue their Tuesday night party.
With the launch of the night being hosted by the UNIboob society, attended by Polsoc, Psychsoc, LGBTQ+ and many other societies, it finally provides an opportunity for each society to get together in one environment.
Get yourselves down to St George’s Centre on Tuesday to join in on the fun. It’s a great way for you to join a new society and meet new people!
