With Halloween fast approaching, you’re probably wondering what there is to do in Kent.
If you don’t fancy having a slasher movie night and you’re looking for something that will give you a fun-filled yet daunting time then we’ve got you covered!
1) The Purge: Halloween
If you’re not one to be absolutely frightened all night then fear not because Junk Thursdays are here and with Halloween right around the corner, Tokyo Tea Rooms are hosting a themed event: The Purge on Halloween night!
After completely selling out last year, they’ve decided to bring it back for another year. So bring your mask of course and be sure to be in for a super thrilling night with plenty of junk food and drink to go around. Throughout the night, the eerie purge emergency siren will go off, this gives you ten minutes to make your way to the bar to get a one selected drink that is £1.20 but you’ve got to be quick!

One of the most popular Halloween events throughout Kent is returning till the 1st of November. Dreamland will once again turn into a dark and terrifying themepark, with scare mazes, creepy characters, new mazers and of course loads of terrors.
Hammer Horror: Based on The Women in Black, you must be prepared to face the horrifying infamous monsters and the haunting figure of the Women In Black. A must for those who are a lover of horror films, as long as you are a tough cookie of course.
Head down for a full-on scare at Marine Terrace, Margate, CT9 1XJ. Opens at 6 pm and closes at 11 pm, no guaranteed entry after 9 pm. Ticket prices range from £16-£48, there are many different options you can choose from standard, fast track, rides only and a group ticket, you can book here.
3) Fort Amherst’s Halloween Horrors
The freaks are coming out to play this year at Fort Amherts, with having over 35 years of scaring experience they will be sure to make you jump out of your skin.
Their Halloween Horrors event offers spooky tunnels that are sure to be haunting. They offer tours for children, teenagers and an adult only tour.
Be sure to get down to the Halloween Feast, with a BBQ, freshly made doughnuts, a themed bar, food stalls, music and entertainment. Enter if you dare the new Escape Room that only came into swing this year. There is so much to choose from, ranging from heart-racing tunnels to costume competitions: there’s something in it for everyone.

4) Canterbury haunted river tour
If you are one for a bit more of a relaxing evening then being told ghost stories on the river may just be for you! You’ll be accompanied by a traditionally dressed chauffer who will point out all the places where ghosts have been seen. You’ll be told a variety of spooky stories and find out about supernatural sightings.
So sit back and cosy up in the warm blankets as you take a ride on the river this Halloween!

5) Historical Murder Town Trial
Take yourself and your friends down to Ramsgate this Halloween for a haunted town tour, to find out about the history that lies beneath, all of the mystery and mayhem in a two and a half hour time frame, delving into the past, finding out what deeds where commited from 1652 up to 1930 as well as the chilling tales of Broadmoor. Organised by Rotten Ramsgate Tours.

6) Ghost tours at Deal Castle
Its time to take a mysterious evening tour around the historic Deal Castle. As storytellers take you on a dark and suspenseful journey through the past. Telling tales of ghosts, supernatural and horrors from history!

7) Escape Rooms- Canterbury
Something that has become incresingly popular over the past year is Escape Rooms.
They’re pretty spot on if your looking for something scary, challenging and something to get your heart-racing. It’s always best to go with around 4 or more people to get a real group scaring experience, the maximum is usually around 8 people at a time. There are so many to choose from, you’ll find yourself locked in gloomy basement and all you know is that you need to escape alive.
