This Girl Can week was a huge success at Canterbury Christ Church University.
This Girl Can week ran from 4th November to the 10th and was all about getting women active. Encouraging women to get involved with sport, celebrate their strengths and get really sweaty whilst doing so is extremely important.
The week launched in 2015, and since has persuaded nearly three million women to get more active.
Let’s aim to change that this November. #CCCUGirlsCan
Sport England’s own research shows that countless women are put off taking part in fitness, sport or exercise due to a fear of judgement. This includes many reasons including because of the way they look when they exercise, that they think they’re not good enough to join in, or they simply think they should be spending more time with their families, studying or other priorities.
Christ Church Sport said “Let’s aim to change that this November. #CCCUGirlsCan”
This November, Christ Church Sport and Active Health offered free gym access, exercise classes, boot camp and many more opportunities.
Many of the women’s sports teams at Christ Church also got involved including Women’s Lacrosse, C4 Jets Cheerleading squad, Ladies Basketball and many more.
