BUCS Round-Up Week 11

Netball

Netball 2’s won 41-36 against the team at the top of the league.

Captain Emmy Sheehan said: “Player of the match was Holly and vice-captains player of the match was Imogen who played up from the 3’s and she motivated everyone and calmed the game down!”

 

Men’s Football

Men’s Football 4’s won 3-0 against Brunel.

Captain Joe Massarella said: “Another home victory, unbeaten at stoddy to guarantee 2nd place minimum this season. All round superb from the boys couldn’t ask for more. Ben Goodayle MOTM with a double to make sure of the win.”

 

Women’s Football

Women’s Football won 4-0 against UCL.

Captain Chloe Gilligan said: “Player of match: Sophie Kelly. Solid performance all round the pitch.”

 

Men’s Cricket

Men’s Cricket played in the National Final 16 and won 2 out of 3 games and qualified for the final 8 in Cardiff.

Captain Jack Wheeler said: “Player of the Day Dan McHugh, was exceptional in every game with bat and ball!”

 

Women’s Cricket

Women’s Cricket played in the National Final 8, with some close games but no wins.

Captain Annabelle Richards said: “Still top 8 university in the country. Player of the matches Megan Belt, played very well and kept high spirits throughout the whole day.”

Women’s Hockey

Women’s Hockey 1’s won 4-1 against St George’s.

Captain Ellie Johnson said: “WOTM – Emily Brough and captains WOTM – Rosie Savage.”

 

Women’s Badminton

Women’s Badminton lost 8-0 to Kings College.

Captain Rachel Wu said: “It was a very tough game but WOTM goes to Aimee Dyson for putting up a good singles game.”
