11 ways to get into the Christmas spirit!

With 11 days to go until the big day, how about 11 ways to get into the Christmas spirit!

  1. Decorate!!
2020 has been one difficult year for everyone, so much so that a lot of people have put up their decorations a lot earlier than normal. Now I don’t usually put my tree up until at least the first of December, but this year it was up on the 28th of November… so whether you’ve got your decs up or not, bring a bit of Christmas to your home to kick start your festive feelings!

  1. Watch something Christmassy.

Whether it’s one of the classic films like The Polar Express, The Grinch or Elf or a more recent Christmas episode like last years Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special watch them now!

Turn off your normal lights and get on your Christmas tree lights and sit in your own festive cinema and cosy up with a hot chocolate!

  1. Bake some festive treats!

Mince pie lover? Make some of your own! Nothing beats a homemade mince pie… or two… If you’re not a mince pie fan you could always make a Yule Log, a Christmas cake or some gingerbread!

It’s Christmas – anything goes!

Better still, make a Bailey’s hot chocolate… this one is a winner.

  1. Listen to Christmas music.

I promise, as soon as you hear the first three seconds of Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You, you will feel an instant Christmas buzz. It’s as simple as that. And, she has just topped the charts with this song after 26 years!

Now this one is a little harder this year. So whether it’s done at a social distance or from the comfort of your sofa, get on that Christmas shopping! Or if you’ve already got some gifts for people, wrap them and put them under the tree! Also, while, wrapping listening to Christmas music or watching a Christmas film is mandatory!
