With COVID-19 restrictions dropping, heatwaves melting us all and summer quickly approaching, it’s time we all get our summer playlists made and finalised.

To help you start your playlists here are my top 10 songs that give me that Summer feeling.

Number 10: Levitating – Dua Lipa (Ft. Dababy)

‘If you feeling like you need a little bit of company then you’ve’ got to have this on your summer playlist! Is it even a summer playlist if you don’t have at least one Dua Lipa song?

Whether it’s featuring Dababy or not, this song is bound to get you and your friends singing and dancing throughout the summer.

This 2020 released song was already chart topping before Tiktok blew it up with the “You want me, I want you baby” trend.

Number 9: Friday- Riton x Nightcrawlers ft. Mufasa & Hypeman

This song is the new “Freed from Desire” / “Will Griggs on fire”.

Although the original song has been sampled before by Pitbull for Hotel service, I do think that this is the best use of the original song and that this will be played in every nightclub this summer.

This re-edit was released in January 2021 and became a viral song via Tiktok in late June 2021.

Number 8: Kiss me more – Doja Cat Ft. SZA

‘Kiss me more’ was released April 2021. The Explicit lyric filled song blew up almost instantly, creating multiple Tiktok trends in the process.

This trending tune gives me nothing but big summer vibes and I think it will be played in all the nightclubs this summer.

This is a perfect song to add to your summer playlist.

Number 7: Up – Cardi B

Cardi B’s ‘Up’ single was already chart topping around the release, but as soon as it hit the charts it was taken to social media & Tiktok blew it up.

The repetitive yet very explicit lyrics and chorus is insanely catchy and easy to get stuck in your head.

With the rate it is showing on social media platforms, you’ll be singing this all summer whether it’s on your playlist or not!

Number 6: Call on me- RAYE

I had never heard of this song until a few days ago when I heard it on the radio.

The song was released in June of this year, just in time for summer.

This song brings nothing but summer vibes. The catchy chorus will have your head bobbing and your foot tapping.

Number 5: Bad Idea – Girl in Red

It’s such a ‘bad idea’ to not have this song on your summer playlist!

Girl in Red is all over social media at the moment and since hearing this song on Tiktok, I’ve been obsessed!

The lyrics may have explicit meanings behind them but the tune is so catchy that you’ll have it stuck in your head for days!

Number 4: Think about things – Daði Freyr

Daði won the Eurovision song contest of 2020 and it was soon after the win that the artist and his singles were chart topping across Europe.

‘Think about things’ is one of my favourite songs to come out of the Eurovision song contest. The tune is incredibly catchy and it’s a perfect way to add a little bit of techno to your summer playlist.

Number 3: I wanna be your slave – Måneskin

This is another song that Tiktok has blown up.

Maneskin won the Eurovision of 2021, but just like Daði it was shortly after the win that the band and their singles were chart topping and trending across Europe.

‘I wanna be your slave’ is my favourite of the songs that the band have released, the beat is heavy and perfect for adding a little bit of rock to your summer playlist.

Number 2: Good 4 U – Olivia Rodrigo

I don’t think I need to explain a reason why Olivia is on this list, we all know that her songs are addictive.

But whether you relate to the lyrics or not, her songs will be sure to have you screaming along in the car. Having this song on your summer playlist this year will be ‘Good 4 U!’

Number 1: Like you in everyway- Fox Jackson

This song will have everyone talking. One play, and you’ll be wondering; who is this artist?

Fox Jackson is not only a personal favourite musician of mine, he is also an up and coming star!

‘Like You In Everyway’ IS the song of the summer!
