Storm Eunice brings down chimney in Thanet

High winds from Storm Eunice have brought down a chimney stack in Northdown Road, Cliftonville.

Thanet police have cordoned off the area, due to brick debris covering the road in front of CQ cleaning shop and Betfred.

No one was injured, but a lot of citizens are shocked. Shops along Northdown road are closing due to this incident.

Tilly Shakeshaft, 23-year-old stay at home mum witnessed the incident. “At first I was a little sceptical of this red weather warning, so I went out to grab some food,” she said.

“I was walking along the road and the next thing I knew was that bricks were all over the place.”
