Meet the Team 18/19

Here are the students behind Unified. The 18/19 team has already smashed the most viewed month on record during their first in charge. We’ve had a couple of our exclusive stories featured on national news like The Telegraph, Daily Mail and Daily Mirror.

Not to mention our stories being picked up by BBC South East and Kent Online – we can only wait and see what other achievements our team can secure this year!


Claisse Opulencia

Claisse has had her work on The Telegraph, Daily Mail, The Mirror, Kent Online and The Sun. She has also appeared on BBC South East for her investigations.

Brittany Tijou-Smith

Brittany is a third year Multimedia Journalism student, her work has been featured on KentLive and KentOnline. Her filming work also won ‘Documentary of the Year 2018’ at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Tom Schwartz

Tom is a second year Multimedia Journalism student and Unified’s News Editor.

Rebecca Sheeres

Rebecca is Unified’s Features Editor and a third year Multimedia Journalism student. She also co-hosts CSRfm’s Sunday Best show and is an equal rights activist.

Chloe Mills

Chloe is a second year Multimedia Journalism Student and Features Editor of Unified. Chloe is also a dancer and social secretary of the dance team at CCCU. She hopes to one day have a career in TV or Magazine Journalism.

Maddy is in her third year studying Multimedia Journalism. She has keen interests in social injustices, as well as animal welfare and human interest stories.

Sports Editors

Johnny Amos

Johnny Amos is a second year Multimedia Journalism student, who also plays hockey and cricket for the university. His aim  after finishing university is to be a sports presenter for Sky Sports.

Matthew is a third year Multimedia Journalism student. His main passions are sports and politics, but he also loves experimenting with food. He has a strong interest in all sports but enjoys cricket and American Football the most.

Hannah is Unified’s Entertainment Editor and a third year Multimedia Journalism student.

Kallie Worsfold

A third-year Multimedia Journalism student, Kallie very excited to be working alongside inspiring women writers in order to talk about feminine view points, as well as she can’t wait to publish some extra sassy, fun and empowering content this year.
